Images of a Small Satellite Internet System

VSAT dish.

This post shows a small and simple satellite ground station that a company uses for internet data transfer.

It is located in a very small and very hot town in Yungas, About eight hours of road travel north-east of La Paz, Bolivia. As can be seen in the photo above the dish is small. It's pointed to the north-west.

The guy in charge of the system wasn't available so I couldn't ask questions, but I got to use the internet and all I can say is that it's very slow, felt like 64kbps.
